Letter From the Heart – June 2010

This month I thought it might be interesting on how we “get our name out there” better known as the marketing side of the house.

Marketing is a tricky thing. We want to let folks know we are here and what we can do for them, but at the same time, not to “toot our own horn” too much. While we feel we have great service with the team and super referrals from our awesome clients (that’s you folks), if people are not reminded once in a while, they can’t find us when they need us.

Part of the marketing plan is keeping active in the community when people can see us and inquire about the state of the market, interest rates, what’s available, etc… A few of the ways I do this is by being a member of the Downtown Rotary, sponsoring and playing on hockey and softball teams, and of course the Annual Client Appreciation Party.

You can find me in the Sunday Daily News of course, but also at the ADN.com homepage. I was also blessed by being named the “Anchorage Daily News Best of Alaska 2009 Platinum Winner” for Real Estate. I also have a column in the Alaska Journal of Commerce which runs bi-weekly. ADN Homefinder and The Real Estate Book print media where our services appear.

Whew!! Now you know why I have this outstanding team!

If you frequent the Jewel Lake Carrs store, you will see Lisa Guillory of Advantage Mortgage and I sharing a bench. Well, our photos are there. And if you frequent your mailbox you will find this newsletter. Also, you may find a “just listed” or “just sold” card which shows us working in your area and what we have done for your neighbors in selling their home.

On the weekends we sit in Open Houses where the house is manned or wo-manned from 1-4 pm for people to come in and chat and see the house of the day. There are tent signs leading to the house very much like directionals which lead folks to our listings. Again, the name of the team is out there to be seen.

Of course our website www.HomesInAlaska.com is here 24/7.

Finally, there are the “under the radar” things like the Children’s Miracle Network and UAA Habitat for Humanity that it is our honor to be able to sponsor.

But the very BEST marketing is YOU, our clients, telling OTHERS about US!! Thank youJ!

So there it is. All you ever wanted to know about our marketing. Or not.
