A peek into Mary’s Recipe Book
Oh gust and gloom! I guess Alaska decided it was spoiling us with the constant sunshine. With Memorial Day come and gone and Independence Day on the way, I’m sure a lot of you have had an overdose of BBQ.
I’d love to share my favorite gloomy day recipes.. guaranteed to warm your belly and your heart! 🙂
Mary’s Clam Dip
1 Package of Cream Cheese
1 can Clams
2 tbsp of Dried Onion
2 tbsp of Mayo
1 tsp Worchester Sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste
Milk to consistence
Mary’s Clam Chowder
2 can Clams
2 cups Potatoes
1 cup Onions
For White Sauce:
¾ cup Butter
¾ cup Flour
1 quart of Half & Half
1 ½ tsp of Salt
½ tsp Sugar
2 tbsp Wine Vinegar
2 tsp of Bon appetite
Drain Clam juice into potatoes and onions, cover with water, and simmer for 20 minutes until cooked. Melt butter, add flour, stir until thick. Then add ½ & ½, salt, sugar, and wine vinegar.
