The Big Wild Life Run

August 22, 2013

If you know me, you know that I try to squeeze every possible sporting event I can around my very busy work schedule. And nothing is more fun than a run with a cause! I especially like The Big Wild Life Run that I participated in this weekend.

Formerly known as the Humpy’s Marathon, the Big Wild Life Runs has been a staple event in the Anchorage community since 2008. The number of participants is expected to continue to grow as individual runners and groups both large and small travel to Anchorage to run the scenic 5K, 13.1 or 26.2-mile course. The race routes are spectator-friendly and offer opportunities to see runners as well as stunning city views at several points along the way.

The best part… every year proceeds go to four local students – runners- for college scholarships. This year part of the proceeds also went to help those injured by the Boston Marathon bombing.

From the Left is Mike Hurst, my honey Dave, Lee Barloon, Kathryn Ireland, Mo Miller & myself. Go Team!
